The Newsome Band & Colorguard is currently seeking and actively recruiting community partners to help the award-winning and nationally recognized program grow and thrive.  We look to align ourselves with individuals and organizations that contribute positively to their community and promote overall excellence within themselves or their own organizations.  We invite you to be part of our program.

The band is currently comprised of approximately 150 students, and has established itself as a premiere example of talent and commitment. In its brief history, the band has been awarded top honors at local, regional, and statewide competitions, and because of its high standards, was selected to perform in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2016 – no small feat for such a young band. The Newsome marching band is proud to be the first full high school band from Hillsborough County to perform at this nationally recognized and treasured event.
